GenocideGenocide is the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation. Have you ever heard of the Holocaust? I am pretty damn sure you have. The Holocaust was horrible, and it might not be to that extent, but genocide similar to the holocaust is happening TODAY. And this case of genocide is named Darfur. what can we do about it?
WE can't do much, but other people can. If we spread the word, and get people to realize how bad genocide is, then maybe an important country like the U.S will fight back and try to stop genocide.

Dear Tom Andrews,
I am apart of a group of students that are doing a project concerning genocide. We are trying to learn more about present genocide. We are aware with what is happening in Darfur, that a tribe of people are being slaughtered by militias of people. It has been going on since 2003 and is still happening today. The Darfur people consider the militia’s “devils on horseback” because they just ride through on horses and slaughter their people. This has affected almost three million people, four hundred thousand are dead and two million five hundred thousand people are displaced.
We are researching as much of the topic that is trustworthy that we can find, and it would be a lot of help if you could tell us anymore that we do know about. We just found out that in Syria more genocide is starting and we do not know much about it. We believe that genocide is a topic that needs to be more known about and it is terrible that people do not know about cruel stuff like this. The media and news do not do enough topics related to genocide, and people are dieing because no one is doing anything about it.
Darfur is a terrible place to be today and for our project we are trying to get awareness about genocide. Our goal is to have people know about what is going on, and if they know that there is genocide going on today. We appreciate your time to read this letter and think you have a great impact on the knowledge about genocide to the populace.
Sincerely,
Wyatt Smith
